Job Description:
Addison Group is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join a growing organization in the Northern Virginia area. This position will support payroll operations in a fast-paced environment and work closely with HR and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable handling multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and support weekly payroll operations for a multi-employee workforce Review employee timecards, hours worked, payroll deductions, and adjustments for accuracy Assist with payroll audits, reconciliations, and discrepancy resolution Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with company policies and payroll regulations Partner with HR and benefits teams to support employee records and payroll-related changes Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a professional and timely manner Assist with onboarding and offboarding payroll activities Support payroll reporting and process improvement initiatives Utilize payroll systems and Excel to manage payroll data and reporting functions
Qualifications:
1+ years of payroll experience in a fast-paced environment Experience processing payroll and reviewing payroll deductions, adjustments, and audits Strong Microsoft Excel and Outlook skills Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, UKG, Rippling, or similar platforms Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize effectively Multi-state payroll experience is a plus
