Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Payroll Tax Specialist II will help manage and oversee payroll tax processes, ensure compliance with tax laws, complete tax payments, prepare and file tax returns, and resolve payroll tax-related issues. The role also involves collaborating with clients to provide payroll tax support and maintaining updated knowledge of payroll tax regulations and changes. Calculate and remit accurate tax payments to taxing authorities (federal, state, county, and city) on time for each client based on regulatory guidelines. Resolve tax related notices. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations, keeping up to date with changes that may affect payroll tax calculations. Audit and reconcile payroll tax deductions and payments remitted for quarterly tax filings for each client. Support and remit quarterly and annual tax returns for each taxing authority and client accurately and on time. Communicate tax related issues to management and client professionally and timely. Work Experience Requirements:
Proficiency in MasterTax required. Prior experience with UKG preferred. Strong understanding of payroll tax, tax payment processing, and compliance Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy in tax calculations, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with clients Commitment to staying informed on updates in payroll tax laws and regulations Ability to work independently in a professional setting Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field strongly preferred Work Location Remote Rochester, MN Dubuque, IA
