Senior Payroll Specialist

- July-15-2026 Temp-To-Hire Our client, an international manufacturer of industrial equipment, seeks a Senior Payroll Specialist on a long-term indefinite temporary/contract basis (with a likely temp-to-hire option) This is a full-time remote (work-from-home) position.
Responsibilities:
- Enter and update payroll data in the Dayforce payroll system accurately and timely.
- Review and audit payroll calculations to ensure accuracy, including time and attendance, garnishments, tax withholdings, 401(k) contributions, and employee healthcare contribution withholdings.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and company policies.- Prepare and distribute payroll reports, including summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, and non-taxable wages.
- Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
- Provide email support to employees regarding payroll inquiries and issues, ensuring clear and responsive communication.
- Collaborate with HR, finance, and other departments to ensure seamless payroll processing and accurate data.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of payroll transactions and documentation. Ensure confidentiality and security of employee information.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development and implementation of payroll best practices.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of payroll processing experience
- Dayforce Payroll System experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of Workday system is a plus.
- Must have Multi-state payroll experience
- Must be able to process a large payroll census of 1,000 employees or more.
- Basic understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and benefits administration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience auditing your own work and that of others to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet and exceed customer needs and expectations while providing service in a direct and indirect manner.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Experience documenting processes, procedures, and statements of work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Hours:
8:00 am- 5:00 pm Remote (work-from-home) Pay $40/hr
- $43/hr
