Job Description
As a Senior Payroll Analyst with Ryman Hospitality Properties (RHP), you'll play a critical role in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing and tax reporting across multiple FEINs and jurisdictions. You'll administer labor management systems, maintain data integrity, and support system upgrades and integrations. As the ideal candidate, you have a strong understanding of payroll tax regulations, union pay rules, and audit readiness practices. Reports to Director of Shared Services. Manage timekeeping workflows, including employee self-service and timecard approvals prior to payroll processing.
Oversee time and attendance data collection from multiple sources including web-based timesheets, time clocks, mobile apps, and point-of-sale (POS) devices.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and labor requirements across multiple FEINs.
Execute audits, reconciliations, and documentation to ensure accuracy, maintain strong internal controls. Support union and external audits and ensure compliance with CBA.
Administer payroll for multiple union classifications, ensuring accurate application of varying wage rates, fringe benefits, pension contributions, and deductions per collective bargaining agreements.
Partner with HR to interpret and apply complex union contract provisions including jurisdictional rules, overtime calculations, premium pay, and work classifications
Develop and deliver standard and ad hoc labor and workforce analytics reports to support informed business decisions.
Administer and maintain ADP WFM labor management system, including configuration of work rules, pay policies, and union contract provisions. Serve as the primary point of contact for system issues, partnering with IT and ADP to ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
Execute end-to-end payroll processing. Execute audits, reconciliations, and documentation to ensure accuracy, maintain strong internal controls. Support union and external audits and ensure compliance with CBA.
Assist with quarterly reconciliation and audit of payroll tax calculations, electronic tax payments, quarterly filings, and year-end forms (W-2s, 1099s)
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred Experience 5+ years' experience in payroll processing, preferably in a multi-union environment with knowledge of collective bargaining agreements and union reporting requirements
Experience with system implementations or integration projects
Demonstrated experience with hospitality payroll including tip income, shift differentials, and variable scheduling
Experience with audit processes and compliance reporting
Familiarity with ERP systems and data mapping Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Effective written and verbal communication skills to explain complex payroll matters to diverse audiences
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Proficiency in ADP Workforce Management (WFM), or similar workforce management systems: strong technical aptitude for system configuration and administration
Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, FLSA regulations,payroll tax compliance, and union contract provisions
Proficient with Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP); experience with HRIS and payroll platforms Licenses / Certifications CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) of FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) certification preferred Physical Requirements
Speak and hear to communicate and use both near and far vision. Frequently sit with some walking and standing for office/property navigation. Frequently lift/carry up to 5 lbs. Continually use gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills for computer use. Working Conditions
In-office position based in a corporate environment with individual workspaces and shared common areas which support focused work while encouraging regular interaction among colleagues. Moderate background noise typical of a collaborative office setting.
