Full Job Description Payroll Clerk Summary:

Join our payroll team as a Payroll Clerk, responsible for daily data entry and assisting in accurate and timely weekly payroll processing. This role is critical to ensuring the precision of payroll records in a rapidly growing organization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform daily payroll department operations efficiently. Manage workflows to ensure timely and accurate payroll transactions. Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports. Ensure proper taxation of employer-paid benefits. Process and comply with garnishments and child support calculations. Prepare accurate and timely year-end payroll reports when necessary. Develop financial and operational reports as needed. Calculate back pay and make check corrections. Address employee and employer payroll inquiries through research and resolution.

Qualifications:

Education:

Associate degree in Business or Accounting required.

Certifications:

Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.

Experience:

4-6 years of experience in multi-state payroll processing. Strong understanding of child support income withholding orders (IWOs) and garnishments.

Skills and Knowledge:

Working knowledge of payroll best practices. Comprehensive understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other PC applications. Familiarity with Paycom Payroll Software preferred.
