Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our organization. In this temp to hire role, you will manage payroll systems, maintain compliance with employment and labor laws, and handle confidential employee information with integrity. Your expertise in payroll management, accounting software, and HRIS systems will be instrumental in supporting our human resources and finance teams. Duties Process payroll using various systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, Ceridian, and other payroll platforms, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Maintain employee records within HRIS systems, updating personal information, tax details, benefits enrollment, and time & attendance data Reconcile payroll accounts regularly through general ledger accounting practices and ensure proper journal entries are recorded Ensure compliance with employment laws, tax regulations, and labor law requirements related to payroll processing and reporting Prepare and file payroll tax returns accurately while managing payroll tax deposits and related documentation Handle data entry tasks related to payroll processing, benefits administration, accounts payable/receivable, and governmental reporting Collaborate with human resources to administer employee benefits programs and ensure proper documentation of all transactions Conduct account reconciliation to verify accuracy across multiple financial systems including spreadsheets and accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information while managing payroll data securely Support audits by providing detailed reports on payroll transactions, tax filings, and compliance documentation Experience Proven experience in payroll management within a corporate or non-profit environment with a strong understanding of employment & labor law Demonstrated proficiency in accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, general ledger reconciliation, debits & credits Strong knowledge of tax law related to payroll taxes and benefits administration Familiarity with HRIS platforms and time & attendance systems for effective data management Skilled in using spreadsheets for analysis and reporting purposes; advanced Excel skills are advantageous Experience handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation tasks accurately under tight deadlines Excellent organizational skills combined with analysis capabilities to identify discrepancies or issues promptly Join us as a Payroll Administrator to play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of our financial operations while supporting our dedicated team members.
