Payroll Tax Analyst II Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Payroll Tax Analyst II to join our dynamic team. The role involves analyzing multi-state payroll tax data and ensuring accurate reporting to federal, state, and local agencies. Responsibilities Analyze multi-state payroll tax data and perform necessary calculations for accurate reporting to federal, state, and local agencies. Administer weekly payroll tax activities, including distributions of tax remittances according to jurisdiction guidelines. Assist in the preparation and processing of accurate and timely federal, multi-state, and multi-jurisdiction withholding tax payments. Handle incoming inquiries from employees regarding payroll tax matters. Ensure quality assurance of W2 corrections and reissues. Investigate and resolve payroll tax discrepancies, providing clear explanations to employees. Assist in building compliance and year-end reporting. Document and review payroll tax processing procedures and make recommendations for improvements. Support payroll tax audits. Assist in tax reconciliations and determine liability for accounts, divisions, or business units. Gain understanding of existing or revised tax codes, laws, or forms. Essential Skills 3-4+ years of recent experience in payroll tax-related responsibilities. Proficiency in ADP Smart Compliance. Experience with multi-state payroll tax (minimum of 10+ states). Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree or relevant certifications such as
CPP, FPC, CPA, CMA.
Knowledge of state tax, escheatment, SAP, and Workforce Now. Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables. Work Environment The position requires working in-office every day initially, transitioning to a hybrid model after 90 days. Candidates can work from the NY JFK location or the Dallas headquarters at 222 W Las Colinas Blvd, Suite 1800, Irving, Texas. The team is supportive, and the role offers a great opportunity to enter a large corporation with significant annual revenues. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Irving, TX 75039. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $45.00/hr.
