Job Description

A rapidly expanding professional services organization is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage payroll processing, reporting, and compliance activities for a multi-state workforce. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside Human Resources and Accounting leadership while supporting critical payroll functions. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced with high-volume payroll environments.

ResponsibilitiesPayroll ProcessingProcess biweekly and semi-monthly payroll for hourly and salaried employeesAudit timesheets, earnings, deductions, and tax withholdingsMaintain payroll records and employee informationProcess bonuses, commissions, garnishments, and payroll adjustmentsEnsure payroll is completed accurately and on scheduleCompliance & ReportingAssist with payroll tax reporting and year-end processingSupport payroll audits and compliance reviewsReconcile payroll reports and general ledger accountsMaintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulationsEmployee SupportRespond to employee payroll inquiriesCoordinate with HR regarding employee changes and onboarding activitiesAssist with payroll system updates and process improvements
