Payroll Clerk (Entry-Level) - The Woodlands, TX We are hiring an entry-level Payroll Admin to join our corporate team in The Woodlands, Texas. A Day in the Life of a Payroll Admin As a Payroll Admin, you will support the accurate and timely processing of employee pay for team members across the United States. You will help manage payroll changes related to new hires, terminations, leaves of absence, garnishments, support orders, deductions, and employee record updates. You will also partner with internal teams and outside vendors to help ensure payroll accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with federal and state requirements. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, solving problems, learning new systems, and delivering a great employee experience. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may also be considered. Internship, campus job, or 1+ year of experience in payroll, HR, finance, accounting, administration, or customer support is helpful. Knowledge of payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, or other HRIS/payroll platforms is a plus. Understanding of payroll processing, employee deductions, wage and hour concepts, and payroll compliance is preferred. Familiarity with Federal and State payroll regulations, including FLSA, overtime, and termination pay requirements, is a plus. Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel; experience with formulas, data review, and reporting is an advantage. Ability to learn new systems quickly, analyze payroll data, and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across HR, employees, Legal, IT, and external partners. Excellent organization, time management, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential information with professionalism. Self-motivated, dependable, and able to prioritize multiple deadlines with accuracy.
