Spherion is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join a dynamic team in Temple, Texas. This is a full-time, temporary-to-hire opportunity designed for someone who thrives in a focused, professional environment and takes pride in ensuring every employee is paid accurately and on timeResponsibilities:
In this role, you will manage the essential "pre-commit" phase of the weekly payroll cycle. Your primary focus is to ensure that all data is clean, compliant, and ready for final processing.Audit and Validation:
You will perform weekly timecard audits, resolve missed punches, and manage pay code validations within the Dayforce system.Compliance Oversight:
You will ensure that overtime, shift differentials, and state-specific requirements align with FLSA guidelines and internal company policies.System Maintenance:
You will handle retro-adjustments, system recalculations, and off-cycle payments as needed.Collaborative Support:
You will serve as a helpful resource for managers and employees, answering inquiries regarding timekeeping and assisting leaders with the approval process. ...Data Integrity:
You will review variance reports and flag anomalies???such as unusual overtime spikes or accrual issues???to prevent errors before they happen.Working hours:

Experience:
Between three to five years of dedicated payroll experience is highly preferred.Advanced Troubleshooting:
Experience running off-cycles and performing manual system recalculations.Analytical Eye:

Dayforce Proficiency:
You must have direct, hands-on experience navigating and processing within the Dayforce platform.Payroll Fundamentals:
A strong understanding of end-to-end weekly payroll preparation and exception resolution.Regulatory Knowledge:
A solid grasp of FLSA compliance, including overtime rules and shift differential calculations.Communication:
