Required Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
- High school Diploma or equivalentRequired Qualifications
- 1+ year of payroll experience or relevant HR/accounting experience with direct payroll responsibilities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential employee information.
- Proficiency with Workday, Google Workspace and Microsoft Office products.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- 2+ years of payroll processing experience.
- 1+ year of payroll tax experience.
- Experience with multi-state payroll.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Experience with payroll audits and reconciliations.
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) certification.
Key Responsibilities
- Process accurate and timely biweekly and/or semimonthly payroll for employees.
- Perform daily and weekly payroll audits to identify and correct discrepancies.
- Maintain payroll records for new hires, terminations, deductions, benefits, and other employee changes.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax and wage-and-hour requirements.
- Prepare and distribute pay statements, W-2s, and other payroll reports.
- Respond to employee questions regarding pay, deductions, taxes, and payroll policies.
- Reconcile payroll and assist with month-end and year-end reporting.
- Partner with HR, Finance, and other internal teams to ensure payroll data and processes remain aligned across systems.
- Support internal and external payroll audits and compliance reviews.
- Assist with identifying and resolving payroll discrepancies and process issues.
