This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment and has strong experience with payroll administration, job costing, and core HR functions. Key Responsibilities Payroll Administration Process accurate and timely payroll for four separate companies Ensure proper allocation of labor costs through job costing Maintain payroll records, deductions, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve employee payroll issues Coordinate with finance/accounting teams as needed HR Operations Enter and maintain employee data, including new hires, pay changes, and terminations Maintain and audit employee files to ensure compliance and accuracy Manage employee verifications (employment and income) Generate and distribute HR and payroll-related reports Support benefits administration and related documentation HR Planning & Employee Engagement Assist with HR planning initiatives and workforce coordination Plan, coordinate, and support employee events and engagement activities Promote a positive workplace culture through communication and participation initiatives 3+ years of experience in payroll processing and HR administration Experience handling multi-company or multi-state payroll preferred Strong understanding of job costing and payroll systems Knowledge of HR compliance and employment laws Proficiency in HRIS and payroll software - UKG preferably Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
