This role is essential in ensuring accurate payroll processing and supporting various accounting and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will have experience with payroll management systems, a strong understanding of accounting principles and like dogs (the Owner's Frenchie is often in house). Responsibilities Answering phones and greeting people as they come in the door. Process weekly payroll for union and non-union employees accurately and timely using Heavy Job and Computer Ease. Conduct analysis of payroll data to identify discrepancies or issues for resolution and work with field employees to resolve. Maintain employee records ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations. Perform data entry tasks related to payroll, benefits administration, and general accounting functions. Support the safety manager with onboarding of new employees. Prepare reports related to payroll and human resources metrics for management review. Submit weekly certified payroll using multiple programs including
L&I, LCP & EMARS.
Prepare monthly union reports for 3 unions. Prepare quarterly and annual payroll tax report. Manage and pay garnishments/child support. Stay updated on tax regulations and ensure compliance in payroll processing. Other Administrative tasks as needed. Experience Proficiency in Computer Ease accounting software or similar platforms is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel required. Experience in construction accounting and certified payroll is a plus. Excellent analysis skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry and reporting. Familiarity with benefits administration processes and human resources functions is advantageous. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities effectively with a positive attitude.
