This role is heavily focused on ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while providing occasional support with employee onboarding and benefits administration. The ideal candidate will have strong payroll expertise, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with both field and office employees. Primary Responsibilities Payroll Administration (80-90% of the Role) Process weekly payroll for approximately 100 employees. Review and audit employee timecards, hours worked, overtime, paid time off, and payroll adjustments. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour regulations. Maintain accurate payroll records and employee earnings information. Process employee deductions, garnishments, reimbursements, and other payroll-related transactions. Reconcile payroll information and prepare payroll reports as needed. Respond to employee payroll questions and resolve discrepancies. Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and reporting. Support payroll audits and maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Partner with accounting to ensure payroll accuracy and proper reporting. HR & Employee Support (10-20% of the Role) Assist with new hire onboarding and employment paperwork. Support benefits enrollment and employee updates. Maintain employee personnel records and documentation. Assist with employee status changes and other routine HR administrative tasks. Provide general support to employees regarding payroll and benefit-related questions.

$25.00-$30.00/hour

401k with company match Paid time off: 2 weeks paid time off and paid holidays Qualifications 3+ years of high-volume payroll processing experience. Experience managing payroll for 100+ employees preferred. Strong understanding of payroll laws, wage and hour regulations, and overtime calculations. Experience working in construction, trades, manufacturing, or other hourly workforce environments is highly preferred. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll software systems. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Preferred Experience Construction industry payroll experience. Certified payroll and prevailing wage reporting. Multi-state payroll processing. Experience working with payroll and HRIS systems. Familiarity with workers' compensation reporting and tracking.
