First Southern Bank is partnering with the Lauderdale County School System to help provide financial education to students, teachers, and their families and give students real hands-on experience and training that will help prepare them for a career in banking or other career opportunities. We are looking for a team member who is focused on executing this mission, delivering passionate and consistent excellence, being a great team player, and embracing a diversity of ideas. The Account Services Representative's responsibilities include providing exceptional customer service to our current and prospective customers, oversees and provides guidance to student tellers, ensure all transactions are accurately and efficiently processed in accordance with our established policies and procedures, build strong relationships with customers to identify their financial needs and maintain knowledge of our products and services, and open new accounts as appropriate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide the highest level of customer service in a positive, courteous, and enthusiastic manner to associates, customers and the community Build and maintain relationships with customers; identify customer needs and provide education on our products and services Assist student tellers in their understanding of bank policies & procedures; monitor teller activity and customer interaction to help ensure compliance Train new student teller personnel in processing and balancing procedures Receive and process deposits, checks, payments and other transactions in an accurate manner according to policies and procedures Complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required Ensure all student tellers are in balance and assist in locating outages, including balancing to cash and proof of all transactions Perform regular unannounced audits of teller cash during working hours; report any significant differences Assists customers with opening and closing of accounts as needed Maintain a strong working knowledge and adhere to bank policies, procedures, and systems Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
Minimum education - High School diploma or equivalent 2+ years of customer service experience; highly preferred in a financial institution Excellent computer and communication skills (in person, phone, and email) Ability to operate in a team environment to accomplish shared goals Ability to prioritize multiple demands Friendly, courteous, and professional disposition Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy Equal Opportunity Employer Veterans/Disabled
