Job Description
The Personal Banker I for The Farmers Bank of Willards serves as the first point of contact for customers at our Bank. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, building and maintaining strong consumer customer relationships, identifying consumer customer needs, recommending appropriate products and assisting with transactions. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and will be proactive and focused on the consumer customer experience. Responsibilities for Personal Banker I Performs all functions of Front Line Associate in addition to the following responsibilities: Engage with consumer customers to understand their financial needs and goals Provide expert advice on a range of banking products, including checking, savings, CD and Digital Banking options. Assist single and joint owner customers in opening and closing accounts as well as handling transactions. Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal policies. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions. Collaborate with branch staff to achieve branch targets and enhance customer satisfaction. Balance and maintain the ATM for the location. Handle any and all vault responsibilities for the branch. Handling basic online posting functions, such as account to account transfers, printing online checks, and initiating outgoing wire transfers. Qualifications for Personal Banker I Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to build rapport with customers Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Able to maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations Professional appearance and positive attitude Dependability and the ability to work well under pressure Expected Hours of Work/Position Type This position is non-exempt and requires 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday and every other Saturday. Work Environment This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Physical Demands This role is often standing for several hours at a time, and at times, there may be a need to lift up to 50 pounds when handling assigned duties.
