Job Description

The position of Universal Banker is responsible for serving as the first point of contact for our bank customers. This role involves handling a variety of teller and customer service-related transactions with a professional approach, while ensuring the customer's needs are met in an accurate and timely manner. Said transactions may take place in a teller service window as well as in a customer service office. Additionally, this role involves being knowledgeable of bank products and services and helping customers attain their financial needs through the promotion and cross-selling of said bank products and services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Responsible for processing teller transactions including, but not limited to: cashing of checks, receiving and verifying deposits, receiving loan payments, processing account withdrawals, bond redemptions, loan advances, and change order requests. Issuance of official checks and money orders. Processing of night drop and ATM deposits if applicable. Assisting customers with account maintenance, including, but not limited to: account disputes, address changes, update of signature cards, update of safe deposit box agreements/leases, online banking issues and debit card matters. Assisting customers to and from safe deposit box area. Responsible for the opening of new business and personal accounts, and processing of wire transfers. Accountable for becoming knowledgeable and familiar with all bank products and services and being able to identify the needs of new and existing customers to offer them appropriate products and services. High School diploma or equivalent required, associate or bachelor's degree is a plus 1 -2 years of retail experience and/or customer service experience with cash handling Excellent verbal and written communication skills Familiarity with computer and word processing tasks Exceptional time management and organizational skills
