Job Description

First Federal Lakewood is seeking a customer-focused banking professional to join our community-based team. In this on-site role, you'll provide friendly, accurate service, handling daily transactions, account openings, and product inquiries for personal and business customers. You'll educate clients on deposit, lending, and digital solutions while helping meet branch sales and service goals. Working in a collaborative, integrity-driven culture, you'll build lasting relationships, support local decision-making, and gain opportunities to grow into leadership, mortgage, commercial, operations, or IT roles within our mutual bank. Responsibilities Provide courteous, accurate in-person service for deposits, withdrawals, payments, and account maintenance Open and service personal and small business accounts, ensuring documentation and compliance accuracy Educate customers on deposit, lending, and digital banking solutions aligned with their needs Support branch sales goals through consultative conversations and referrals to mortgage, commercial, and specialty teams Ensure adherence to banking regulations, security, and internal policies, including cash control and fraud prevention Use core banking and CRM systems to document interactions, track activities, and follow up with customers Collaborate with branch and back-office teams to resolve customer issues and ensure high satisfaction Participate in community and bank initiatives that strengthen local relationships and brand presence Required Skills Customer service Cash handling and balancing Bank deposit and withdrawal processing Banking regulations and compliance (e.g., BSA, AML, KYC) Sales and cross-selling of banking products Account opening and documentation Basic financial analysis for consumer products CRM and core banking systems Risk and fraud awareness Communication and interpersonal skills
