Position OverviewThe Financial Center Associate is responsible for performing a variety of duties to support the daily activities of a community bank while adhering to corporate, regulatory and audit guidelines. This individual will cash checks, receive deposits, process other transactions as authorized and within policy, balance a cash drawer, and maintain accurate records. In addition, the Financial Center Associate will ensure the delivery of superior service which includes promoting the companys products and services and directing customers to the appropriate employee or department for specialized services. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAccepts deposits of various account types. Cashes checks within approved authority and operating policy. Operates and balances cash drawer accurately and efficiently. Sells official monetary instruments. Accepts loan payments, safe deposit box rent, and other related payments. Processes night deposits and mail deposits.

Adheres to check cashing policies and obtains appropriate approvals on checks over the approved check cashing limit. Prepares and processes daily work for remote capture.

Provide safe deposit box services to customers as needed.

Balances and/or services ATM machines, Teller Cash Recyclers as needed. Maintains an approved level of cash; appropriately manages excess and mutilated cash according to policy. Verifies and wraps currency and coin following procedures to ensure accurate vault cash control. Follows policies and procedures for issuing negotiable instruments. Maintains accurate transaction and balancing records (paper and/or electronic). Places accurate and timely Regulation CC deposit holds. Proactively seeks out new opportunities to deepen relationships with customers through suggestive sales techniques; actively refers customers to appropriate customer service personnel. Follows all security procedures. Education & QualificationsA high school diploma or equivalent. Previous cash handling and customer service experience preferred. Skill(s)Moderate reading, writing, and grammar skills; proficient analytical and mathematics skills; proficient communicative and interpersonal relations skills; proficient eye-hand coordination; ability to operate various office machines; ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach with hands or arms, use hands to manipulate objects, handle or feel, and lift items weighing 50 lbs. or less; visual , auditory and speaking skills; valid drivers license is required. Specific compensation offered will be determined based on a combination of factors including the candidates knowledge, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials. The salary range may vary based on geographic location.
