Position Title:
Personal Banker (Full Time)•Houston.
Company:

Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.•5:00 p.m. (Weekend hours as necessary).
Compensation:
$27.89 per hour.
Education Requirement:
High School Diploma or GED.
Experience Requirement:
Zero to three (3) years of new account experience. Responsible for performing a wide range of financial services including opening/closing accounts, renewing time deposits, assisting clients with inquiries, performing account maintenance, and resolving concerns. Works collaboratively with the Teller Supervisor to train, motivate, and support lobby associates in customer service and crossselling efforts. Must have extensive knowledge of bank deposit and loan products, identify sales opportunities, and strive to meet related goals.
Essential Functions & Basic Duties:
Financial Service Functions:
Present and explain bank products and services. Open, close, and maintain checking, savings, time deposit, IRA accounts. Assist with safe deposit boxes, savings bonds, credit cards, and basic consumer loans. Answer questions and solve client problems by listening, gathering data, and resolving issues. Profile clients to identify opportunities for sales and referrals. Use lead lists and strategies to generate additional business.
Customer Relations:
Establish and maintain professional relationships with clients. Resolve client requests promptly and professionally. Process new accounts and account maintenance (name/address changes, product updates, etc.) Maintain strict privacy of client information. Support and uphold the banks professional reputation.
Team Coordination & Support:
Keep Banking Center Manager informed of activities and problems. Assist area personnel as needed. Complete reports and records accurately and on time. Attend meetings and training (weekdays, evenings, Saturdays). Oversee yearend reporting tasks (key box audit, safe deposit audits). Review new account documentation and data entry for accuracy. Support Treasury Management with new account setups and services. Ensure daily logs are completed properly and organized for monthly review.
Additional Responsibilities:
Actively and professionally sell bank products and services. Meet sales production goals. Perform clerical duties as needed. Keep work areas clean, secure, and well maintained. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED.
Required Knowledge:
Understanding of bank operations preferred. Ability to complete Prosperity Bank core training modules: Mentor Program. DNA Standard/UX.
CTR/MIL. IVIEW. ATM
Balancing. WITS/Wires (minimum domestic). Risk management skills. Dual control compliance. Product knowledge.
Experience:
Zero to three (3) years of new account experience preferred. Teller or retail banking experience beneficial.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong communication skills. Professional appearance and attitude. Excellent math skills. Accurate typing and dataentry skills. Ability to operate business and banking equipment (adding machine, copier, money counter, etc.)
