Summary:
About the Role In this role, you'll play an important part in helping patients access the care they need—without unnecessary delays or confusion about insurance and billing. You'll act as a key connection point between patients, care teams, and insurance providers, ensuring financial clearances are handled smoothly so treatment can move forward. If you enjoy problem-solving, working with people, and helping make complex processes easier to navigate, this is a great opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day. What You'll Do Partner with insurance companies to verify coverage and secure financial clearance for patient care Serve as the main point of contact between admissions, clinic staff, billing teams, and providers Help ensure patients are financially cleared in a timely manner so care can begin without delays Maintain accurate records related to insurance verification and financial clearance Work collaboratively across teams to resolve issues and streamline processes Support patients and colleagues with clear, helpful communication What You'll Bring Experience working with insurance, patient access, billing, or a related healthcare function Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment Clear communication skills and a customer-focused mindset Problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex situations with confidence Comfort working with multiple teams and balancing priorities A desire to help patients and make a positive impact during their care journey Why You'll Love Working Here At Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, your work truly matters. Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience 1. High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in pre-certifications and follow-up procedures or a related field; or 2. High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and successful completion of a Patient Access Representative traineeship at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (Roswell Park).
