Our growing pediatric dental practice is seeking a dynamic, highly skilled Patient Relations & Operations Director to anchor our front-office operations. We are looking for a seasoned professional with deep expertise in pediatric financial systems, insurance navigation, practice workflows, and patient conversion. If you are a proactive problem-solver who loves keeping a practice running seamlessly while ensuring every family feels welcome from their very first phone call, we would love to meet you. Handle incoming prospective new patient calls with warmth, empathy, and expertise, guiding families from their initial inquiry straight to a scheduled appointment. Serve as the primary point of contact for parents, answering clinical and financial questions with confidence, and ensuring an exceptional patient experience from day one. Present and explain comprehensive dental treatment plans to parents with clarity, compassion, and a thorough understanding of pediatric dental needs. Expertly navigate and apply rules regarding what services are covered, identifying non-covered services, and ensuring appropriate collection protocols are executed upfront prior to treatment. Manage both in-network and out-of-network insurance billing, verification, pre-authorizations, and claims follow-up. Utilize advanced knowledge of accounts receivable (AR) to track, investigate, and figure out where patient and insurance balances are coming from, resolving discrepancies efficiently and professionally. Qualifications & Requirements 3+ years of advanced dental front-office experience, specifically including treatment planning, insurance billing (in/out of network), and financial reconciliation. (Pediatric dental experience is strongly preferred). Familiarity with Open dental practice management software, insurance portals, and claims management. Strong analytical skills with the ability to audit accounts, trace complex balances, and manage front-desk financial workflows independently. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; able to explain clinical and financial details clearly and empathetically to parents. A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to oversee administrative flow and support the broader practice team.
