Job Description
A caseworker that works on site at a CRS client hospital, partnering with hospital staff to help identify financial assistance programs for the uninsured population. The Associate assists with the application process relating to Medicaid, Disability and other programs, and not only acts as an advocate for the patient, but also serves as a liaison between CRS, client hospitals, and State/Government agencies. Specific Responsibilities Screen and evaluate patients for existing insurance coverage and/or assistance programs. Responsible for conducting eligibility screenings, assessment of patient financial requirements, and walking patients through the Eligibility process. Qualifications Minimum of high school diploma, hospital/medical business office experience preferred Understanding of patient confidentiality - HIPAA Be well organized, have excellent communication skills and be computer literate, be proficient in both Microsoft excel and word Assistance with charity / financial programs - Bilingual also a plus to the position.
