What You Can Expect:
The Patient Financial Navigator works closely with patients to guide through the financial care application process ensuring the organization meets & maintains regulatory requirements. This role ensures that patients receive the financial assistance they need to access healthcare, while also maintaining accurate & compliant billing processes. Screens patients to make the determination of eligibility for internal assistance programs and foundation funds. Assist with application processes and documentation. Communicates eligibility outcomes. Assist patients with billing support, by helping patients set up payment plans, explore options, and address billing concerns with clear explanations. Collaborate with revenue cycle teams to resolve discrepancies related to financial assistance & patient accounts. Applies pharmaceutical funding to applicable patient balances, processes the payment to reconcile the account. Makes calls to patients to gather sufficient information to obtain to process financial assistance applications or foundation fund access. Acts as a liaison between the patients, physicians, patient clinics, centralized billing office, and. Solves problems of limited complexity and refers more complex issues to higher levels. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
1 year relevant experience
