Our team is small and intentional; we deeply know our clients and they know us. We don't chase production quotas or pressure clients into products. We build real plans for real people to help them maximize their retirement, and we take that seriously. The Opportunity This is not a sales role. We are growing and we need someone who loves the craft of financial planning. Someone who enjoys the analysis, the detail, the strategy, and who also genuinely cares about the people those plans are built for. You will own the preparation and follow-through that makes every client meeting, every financial plan, and every client interaction run well. You will build retirement and financial plans, run tax projections, prepare for meetings, execute on action items, and become an expert in our planning process and tools. But this is not a heads-down-only role. Our clients will know you. They'll hear from you. When they call with a question or need something handled, you may be the one who takes care of it. Everyone on our team has a relationship with our clients, and that includes you. We're a small firm and that's exactly the point. As our firm grows, there will be a path forward. Whether that's a more client-facing advisory role or a lead planning role. If you want to grow, we want to help you get there. What You'll Do This role touches every part of our business. Here's how it breaks down: Prospect Process Organize and review prospect intake materials and financial documents Create initial retirement plans and tax projections using our planning tools Prepare our Max Retirement™ Checklist — a personalized list of planning actions for each prospect New Client Onboarding Review all paperwork for completeness and accuracy prior to signing Prepare the complete financial plan using our planning tools Invest client funds per decisions made in the meeting and confirm everything is accurate Write and send the post-meeting recap email and complete follow-up action items Provide weekly updates to new clients on account openings and fund transfers Ongoing Client Management Prepare for Annual Strategy Meetings — update the client's plan and identify planning strategies and actions Prepare for Annual Tax Planning Meetings — complete year-end and lifetime tax projections and identify planning strategies and actions Send post-meeting recap emails and complete follow-up action items Client Service & Planning Work Run financial projections, update plans, and update investments as situations change Determine account withdrawal strategies Complete tax projections for withholding adjustments and quarterly estimated payments Handle client calls and emails — answer questions, gather information, and make sure clients feel taken care of Conduct rollover calls with clients and their 401(k) providers Contact insurance or 401(k) companies for client information Support account changes and incoming transfers alongside our Client Service Coordinator Tools & Software Become our go-to expert in IncomeLab, Right Capital, Holistiplan, Excel and our AI tools What This Role Is Not No cold calling No prospecting No production quotas No sales pressure Requirements Bachelor's degree required 0-3 years of financial planning or related experience preferred (we will train the right person) Life Insurance License and Series 65 (must be committed to obtaining both shortly after starting) Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Genuine interest in financial planning and a desire to keep learning Who You Are You're organized and detail-oriented - you follow through without being reminded and don't cut corners You communicate clearly and completely — clients and teammates always know where things stand You do what it takes — if something needs to get done, you own it until it's solved You're coachable — you may have some experience, but you're open to learning our way of doing things You bring positive energy — this is a small team and how we show up for each other matters Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $60,000 - $85,000 (based on experience) Performance-based bonus Health insurance stipend 401(k) plan Competitive paid time off and paid holidays Licensing fees covered for Life Insurance License and Series 65 (Details discussed at offer)
