Job Description:
Advisor for PALS/Mentors and 8th to 9th transition WHS is seeking an advisor to oversee the PALS and mentor program. This person would work closely with the administrative team to: Select and oversee PALS (student volunteers) and coordinate their participation in: tours, back to school night, orientation day, and other events as necessary. Oversee the 9th grade mentor program (mentors selected from PALS) including all presentations in 9th grade WIN blocks throughout the year. Train PALS/mentors for presentations, coordinate with admin and other groups as necessary for additional presentations. Plan August orientation day for rising 9th graders. Coordinate school day/year tours and info sessions in June with McCall. Other duties as assigned by the administrative team. The ideal candidate for this role is organized and outgoing. This person will work with the building administrative team and faculty, district staff, students, and community organizations.
