Job Description

Patient Financial Advisor, PT Evening Shift, Rehab Admissions AHC Rehabilitation - Downtown Crown If you are a current Adventist HealthCare employee, please click this link to apply through your Workday account. Adventist Healthcare's Rehabilitation seeks to hire an experienced Patient Financial Advisor for our Gaithersburg, MD location who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As a Patient Financial Advisor you will:
  • Supports pre-service processes
  • Scheduling and coverage authorization of scheduled services
  • May require physician/clinical communication
  • Pre-registration of scheduled services to include coverage verifications and authorizations
  • Assisting patients in completing AHC charitable applications at the medical centers Qualifications include:
  • High School Graduate or equivalent. Some college preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience within a healthcare financial environment. Can include insurer or public health setting as well.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must maintain a high level confidentiality
  • Must work well in stressful environments without compromising quality and accuracy.
  • Strong Customer Service skills
  • Ability to participate in an environment that promotes staff development, productivity, satisfaction and efficiency
  • PC skills in a Windows environment are required. Knowledge and utilization of desktop applications to include Word and Excel is helpful.
  • Ability to initiate and follow through on projects and work independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

$19.64 - $25.65 If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
