Job Description

Job Summary :
Responsible for financial resolution of all patient responsibility debt incurred at CaroMont Health, including CaroMont Regional Medical Center, CaroMont Medical Group Practices, CaroMont Endoscopy Center, and CaroMont Specialty Surgery. This includes collecting required deposits prior to service/billing, interviewing patient and/or family members in person or on the telephone to verify/obtain needed information, obtain necessary documentation or signatures. Counsels patients and/or guarantors on the most appropriate financial option to resolve the account(s).
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent required; two or more years of college is preferred. Two years experience in customer service, sales, or collections is required. One year experience working with insurance claims and patient billing is preferred. One year experience working in Oncology required. Basic office computer skills. Effective professional communication skills and proper written and spoken usage of the English language, bilingual skills would be useful. Excellent organizational skills. Attention to detail. A positive, proactive, and resourceful attitude toward achieving overall department and hospital goals. Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight time restraints.
