The Opportunity Description About the
Opportunity:
We are seeking a Patient Financial Counselor for a specialized short-term contract. In this role, you will act as a dedicated patient liaison, managing everything from physician orders through the complete billing cycle. You will analyze health insurance benefits, secure prior authorizations, and educate patients on their out-of-pocket liabilities.
Responsibilities:
Completes comprehensive health insurance verification and check prior authorization status. Calculates and provide patients with clear financial estimates for office visits, diagnostic testing, and surgeries. Communicates out-of-pocket details via phone, mail, and Epic MyChart. Collects point-of-service payments or set up formal payment arrangements following company policies. Delivers service excellence when interacting with patients, clinicians, and administrators.
NOTE:
Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents (Green Card holders) to be considered for this position.
Job Type:
3-month Contract with potential for extensions.
Benefits:
Medical, dental, and vision coverage begins after 60 days of employment.
Work Set Up:
Onsite at Camden, NJ 08103 .
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday from 9am to 3pm.
Requirements:
High School Diploma is required (Associate's degree preferred). Hands-on EPIC experience is strictly required. Minimum 3 years of healthcare revenue cycle experience (insurance verification, registration, or point-of-service medical collections). High proficiency with payer online portals and third-party eligibility systems (e.g., NaviNet, Passport). Experience Required for Your Success
