About the Opportunity Our client, an expanding independent advisory firm serving ultra-high net worth individuals, families, institutions, and foundations, is seeking a Finance Associate to play a pivotal role in supporting firm-wide financial activities and analysis. This position provides direct visibility to firm leadership and a chance to drive strategic decisions, including firm profitability, forecasting, advisor economics, and M&A support. The role will be central to the team's adoption of automated financial processes, leveraging new software and AI tools for revenue, billing, and reporting. Ideal candidates excel in dynamic environments, possess a strong analytical mindset, and are eager to contribute to the growth and operational excellence of the firm. Job Responsibilities Assist with preparation, review, and commentary on financial statements and periodic cashflow forecasts Design and deliver monthly dashboards and management reports on assets under management, revenues, expenses, and EBITDA Support development of internal and board presentations to communicate financial trends and strategic insights Build, maintain, and enhance annual budgets and performance tracking frameworks Conduct detailed scenario forecasting for assets, revenues, and expenses; track P&L and cash views Maintain and extrapolate long-term forecasts, including firm valuation and cap table analysis Continuously improve attribution modeling, reporting, and provide actionable insights on practice performance, advisor compensation, and incentives Update profitability analyses at client, segment, and advisor levels; identify cost trends, macro drivers, and ROI to optimize offerings and pricing structures Develop pricing tools and assist with client pricing for advisors and Family Office Solutions team Provide ad hoc financial analysis, due diligence, and return analysis for M&A activities and new business line evaluations Support strategic initiatives, compensation policies, and fee structure evaluations with modeling and scenario analysis Maintain and own the FP&A platform, ensuring seamless data flow between general ledger, portfolio reporting, and data warehouse systems Serve as internal expert for model architecture and data integrity, driving finance process automation Support accurate revenue quantification, collection, and tracking; enhance billing processes leveraging automated solutions Develop expertise in portfolio reporting and billing systems, acting as a resource for advisors regarding billing exceptions and new client discovery Assess and refine finance procedures to promote efficiency, ensure clear documentation, and maintain auditable records for compliance Coordinate with external stakeholders, including accounting partners and regulatory agencies, to accomplish team goals Job Requirements Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field 2-5 years of experience in FP&A, ideally within wealth or asset management (open to relevant industry backgrounds) Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities, including strong financial modeling and experience managing large datasets Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and a deep understanding of drivers behind key financial metrics Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with senior management, advisors, and external partners Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills; able to work independently and within a collaborative team Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced financial analysis tools, especially Excel Experience with FP&A platforms (Cube, Adaptive, Anaplan, etc.) and tools such as Claude preferred Familiarity with portfolio reporting (Addepar), accounting (QuickBooks), and CRM systems is advantageous The annual base salary range is $95,000 to $140,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
