Position Overview:

As the AP Spanish Language and Culture Teacher, you will deliver your content in Spanish, with a focus on Spanish grammar, vocabulary, and robust literature (e.g., En el tiempo de las mariposas, Cuando era puertorriqueña, Cajas de cartón, Semillas and many more!), along with college level writing. Our 7th and 8th grade Spanish classes follow an AP-aligned track, and our SLA teachers create authentic immersion experiences that celebrate language and culture through innovative instruction. This approach uniquely prepares our middle school students to engage with complex academic content in Spanish, and we seek teachers who are passionate about their subject area and eager to refine their practice through supportive coaching. Candidates must possess strong written and verbal communication skills in Spanish. New Jersey Department of Education Standard Certificate, Certificate of Eligibility (CE), or Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS) Certification in Spanish is preferred.
