Job Description
Associate Financial Planner SK Wealth Management, LLC Providence, Rhode Island SK Wealth Management is a comprehensive personal financial planning and investment management firm seeking an Associate Financial Planner to join our growing team. We don't believe financial planning is simply about helping people build a bigger pile of money. Money matters, obviously. But its value comes from what it allows people to do with their time, their relationships, their work, and the next chapter of their lives. A good financial plan shouldn't bury someone in complexity or pretend to predict the future. It should bring clarity, prepare people for uncertainty, and give them permission to make thoughtful choices. That belief shapes how we serve our clients and how we work together as a team. The Role The Associate Financial Planner is an important member of our planning team. You'll help develop and maintain comprehensive financial plans, participate in client meetings, coordinate planning workflows, and make sure clients receive thoughtful, accurate, and timely service. You won't spend years hidden behind the scenes waiting for the chance to meet a client. From the beginning, you'll attend meetings with clients and prospective clients, participate in more informal client lunches, and see firsthand how strong planning relationships are built. This is not a sales position. It is also not a purely back-office position. It is an opportunity for someone who wants to become an excellent financial planner. Someone who is curious about people, serious about the details, eager to learn, and motivated to grow into greater responsibility over time. What You'll Do Support the Financial Planning Process Gather, organize, and review client financial information. Enter and maintain accurate client data in eMoney. Assist with the preparation of comprehensive financial plans using our trademarked planning process, The Integrated Financial Advantage™ . Obtain and organize estate planning documents, insurance information, and other relevant client records. Participate in Client Relationships Prepare for and attend meetings with clients and prospective clients alongside Financial Planners. Take clear, thoughtful meeting notes and document follow-up items. Communicate with clients by phone and email to gather information, answer questions, and coordinate next steps. Attend client appreciation lunches and other relationship-building events. Learn to recognize not only what the numbers say, but what matters to the person sitting across the table. Coordinate Work Across the Team Create and maintain records in our client relationship management system. Manage CRM workflows and action sequences for prospective clients, new clients, and ongoing planning updates. Work closely with our back-office team to ensure client needs are handled promptly and accurately. Assist with new-client onboarding. Provide backup support to our Client Service Specialists, including client service, problem-solving, applications, and paperwork. Take ownership of details without losing sight of the larger purpose behind the work. How We Work You'll be an integral part of our Diamond Team™ approach to serving clients. This structure allows us to provide collaborative, consistent advice while creating a clear path for team members to learn, contribute, and grow. Our planning process, The Integrated Financial Advantage™ , is intentionally designed to consider the full scope of a client's financial life. We don't believe complexity automatically makes advice better. We believe clarity does. We also know that retirement planning involves more than determining whether someone has "enough." Leaving work can affect a person's identity, routines, relationships, and sense of purpose. Our work helps clients prepare not only for retirement income, but for the life that income is meant to support. For more than 25 years, this approach has helped us build lasting client relationships and grow into the award-winning firm we are today. Technology We Use We use technology to make our work more efficient and our advice more useful—not to create impressive-looking clutter.
