We are seeking a detail-oriented, client-focused Financial Planner / Paraplanner to deliver comprehensive financial planning and investment strategies to our high-net-worth clients. In this role, you will play a central part in building, analyzing, and presenting holistic financial plans while helping oversee an existing $50M book of business. This position offers a strong blend of technical financial analysis, paraplanning operations, and direct client relationship management, with natural opportunities to grow into lead advisory responsibilities over time. Key Responsibilities1.
Comprehensive Financial Planning & Paraplanning Plan Construction & Analysis:
Lead the creation of customized, end-to-end financial plans covering retirement accumulation/distribution, tax optimization, risk management, estate planning, and executive compensation.
Scenario & Cash Flow Modeling:
Utilize advanced planning software to build dynamic, real-time scenarios (e.g., stress-testing portfolios, Monte Carlo simulations, roth conversion analysis, and tax projection models).
Deliverable Preparation:
Prepare polished, clear, and actionable meeting materials, client roadmaps, and plan summaries for upcoming client reviews.
Data Gathering & Discovery:
Onboard new client financial data, analyze documents (tax returns, estate papers, insurance policies), and identify planning gaps or opportunities. 2.
Client Relationship Management & Team Support Direct Client Interaction:
Participate in client discovery and plan delivery meetings, stepping in as the primary technical subject matter expert for planning questions.
Follow-Through & Action Items:
Manage post-meeting action items, including plan updates, account adjustments, and coordination with outside professionals (CPAs, estate attorneys).
Organic Growth:
Deepen existing client relationships by identifying additional planning needs, held-away assets, and warm referral opportunities. 4. Compliance & Process Optimization Ensure all financial planning processes and client records adhere to industry regulations and SEC guidelines. Continuously refine financial planning templates, paraplanning workflows, and tech stack integration to improve client experience and operational efficiency.
Qualifications & SkillsRequired:
Experience:
2-5+ years of direct experience in financial planning, paraplanning, or wealth management.
Software Proficiency:
Hands-on experience with core financial planning platforms (e.g., eMoney, RightCapital, or MoneyGuidePro) and custodians/reporting tools
Technical Expertise:
Strong foundational knowledge of personal tax planning, estate concepts, retirement income strategies, and asset allocation.
Communication:
Exceptional ability to translate complex financial and tax concepts into clear, understandable language for clients.
Certifications & Education:
CFP® Designation (or actively coursework-complete / sitting for the exam) strongly preferred. Series 65 or equivalent (Series 7 & 66 combined). Bachelor's degree in Financial Planning, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
