Job Description
Financial Service Associate Location :
Iowa City, IA Salary Range:
$60,000 - $80,000 commensurate with experience- Moving bonus available for non-local applicants

The Financial Service Associate will be responsible for supporting the lead Financial Advisor in a financial services practice. They will assist with documenting client meetings, fulfilling service requests, and managing correspondence while promoting operational efficiency across the organization as a whole. This position is a client-facing, salary-based role with opportunities for growth and no sales requirements . Start date is negotiable. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with exceptional organization, time management and communication skills. Financial Service industry experience is desired but not required.Key Responsibilities:
- Support senior staff managing email correspondence and responding to client requests
- Assist with client meeting preparation, generating agendas and forms in advance
- Conduct independent research to verify paperwork requirements, processes and procedures with both internal and external stakeholders
- Arrive prepared and on-time to participate in scheduled client meetings each day
- Document client interactions in CRM software in a timely manner, identifying and assigning follow-up tasks as needed
- Provide exceptional hospitality and customer service to all clients and visitors
- Assist clients with scheduling, technology, document delivery and cash management
- Collaborate with team members on various projects to achieve collective goals
- Adapt to changing roles and responsibilities as needed in a small business environment
- Go above and beyond to ensure client satisfaction and office efficiency, always maintaining confidentiality and discretion

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certificate
- 3-5 years professional experience in any industry
- 1-3 years in the financial service industry a related field, such as: Retail Banking, Insurance, Loan Processing Wealth Management, Financial Analysis, Relationship Management Retirement Plan Services, Pension/Benefit Administration Financial Reporting, Regulatory & Compliance, Corporate Finance Bookkeeping, Tax Preparation Desired but not
Required:
- Post-Secondary education in a related field of study, such as: Finance, Economics, Accounting Financial Decision-Making, Personal Finance, Investment or Wealth Management
Certifications:

- This is a full-time, on-site position with remote work opportunities available to accommodate inclement weather or illness.
