Job Description
Interim Financial Reporting Consultant Our client, a mid-sized organization undergoing a finance transformation, is seeking an Interim Financial Reporting Consultant to support financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities during a critical transition period. This position follows a hybrid work schedule, 3 days/week in their office in San Jose, CA, or Portland, OR. This engagement has an expected duration of 3 months.
Responsibilities:
Manage consolidated financial reporting across multiple entities using complex financial models Support budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing financial planning processes Assist with month-end close activities, including reconciliations and variance analysis Partner with finance leadership to ensure accuracy and consistency of financial reporting Reconcile and validate financial data across systems, entities, and reporting outputs Support implementation of a new financial planning and reporting system, including data validation and process alignment Maintain continuity of reporting operations during system transition Identify and implement improvements to streamline reporting and enhance efficiency Work within large, complex spreadsheet models and optimize for accuracy and usability Support ad hoc financial analysis and reporting needsRequirements:
5+ years of experience in financial reporting, FP&A, accounting, or related finance roles Strong experience with consolidations, budgeting, forecasting, and financial statement analysis Advanced Excel skills, including experience working with large, complex models Experience operating in manual or highly complex reporting environments Experience supporting finance transformation or system implementations preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to reconcile data accurately Ability to work independently in fast-paced, evolving environments Strong communication and collaboration skillsCompensation:
