Job Description

USPI Conroe Surgery Center is seeking a motivated Insurance Verifier to join our team . We have 7 OR rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in ENT, General, OB/GYN, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic, Pain Management, Podiatry, Retina, Urology, Colo-Rectal. Position requires weekdays only - no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.
Job Summary:
Validating and entering patient information and insurance coverage into the appropriate computer system. Verify insurance benefits by reviewing our contract and patient's quoted benefits. Determine co-pay. Post all insurance and billing comments. Enter all information into the patient accounting system. Contact patients regarding money due prior to the date of surgery. Required Skills:
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent 3-4 years previous medical collections experience required, in healthcare insurance collections of all types. Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred Medical terminology. Ability to work independently. Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills. Skilled in time management and prioritization of emergent situations. Good customer service skills, always demonstrates professionalism. Comfortable utilizing critical thinking skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office products. Experience with electronic patient information systems.
