Job Description

Service Advisor The Service Advisor is a key member of the client relationship team, serving as second chair and a primary point of contact for clients while coordinating planning, meeting preparation, implementation, and ongoing service.
Employment Type :
Full-time Work Arrangement :
Primarily in-office, with the flexibility to work remotely up to four days per month. Role Overview The Service Advisor quarterbacks the day-to-day client experience and creates capacity for Relationship Managers to focus on strategic advice, relationship leadership, revenue generation, and business development. Service Advisors are expected to develop the knowledge and client trust necessary to lead meetings independently and, for those on that career path, ultimately progress toward a Relationship Manager role. Licensing & Professional Development
    Licensing:
    Series 7, Series 63, and Life & Health insurance licenses required.
    • Professional development: Continued progress toward advanced financial planning knowledge and credentials, including the CFP designation, is encouraged.
    • Maintain required continuing education and develop increasing expertise in financial planning, wealth management, risk management, firm technology, systems, products, and compliance standards.
    • Stay current on relevant industry and economic trends and apply that knowledge to client service and relationships. Key Responsibilities
    • Serve as second chair and a primary point of contact for assigned clients, participating actively in client meetings and answering questions within the scope of the role.
    • Coordinate with the Relationship Manager before meetings to confirm direction, priorities, and recommendations.
    • Own the client meeting process, including agenda development, preparation, planning inputs, PX recommendations, scenarios, review materials, CRM documentation, task delegation, and follow-up.
    • Contact clients in advance of meetings to confirm or update planning information and resolve outstanding questions.
    • Participate in meetings, capture relevant notes and decisions, and ensure accurate documentation in CRM.
    • Translate meeting outcomes into clear next steps, assign tasks, and send timely client follow-up communication, with Relationship Manager review when appropriate.
    • Take the lead on routine client questions and service needs and escalate strategic or complex matters to the Relationship Manager.
    • Build the knowledge, confidence, and client trust required to run meetings independently when needed.
    • Quarterback client service and ensure commitments made to clients are completed accurately and on time.
    • Manage client touchpoints and keep the Relationship Manager informed of meaningful developments.
    • Maintain opportunity status and oversee future follow-up throughout the client relationship and sales cycle.
    • Follow up proactively when information or action is needed from clients, escalating to the Relationship Manager when appropriate.
    • Support first-level trading and team alerts, including cash management, tax-loss harvesting, and non-model holdings, within firm processes and authority.
    • Assist clients with onboarding, account access, website setup, and aggregation.
    • Represent Taylor Associates professionally and consistently, with a strong focus on an exceptional client experience.
    • Provide direction to Analysts supporting assigned client relationships.
    • Assign work to Analysts and supervise for quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
    • Coach and provide constructive feedback to Analysts.
    • Train Analysts on firm processes, methodology, systems, and client-service expectations.
    • Work collegially and productively with Relationship Managers, Analysts, Operations, Investment, and other team members.
    • Share knowledge and contribute to the ongoing development of the team. Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree required.
    • Financial services experience required; experience in wealth management or financial planning preferred.
    • Strong financial planning, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate financial concepts clearly to clients.
    • Ability to manage multiple client relationships, priorities, deadlines, and follow-through commitments.
    • Proficiency with or ability to quickly learn financial planning technology, CRM systems, and other firm software.
    • Ability to work collaboratively, provide direction to Analysts, and contribute to the development of team members.
    • High degree of integrity, discretion, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality. Core Competencies

    • Works effectively with the support team and successfully trains and develops Analysts.
