Caterpillar's Resource Industries (RI) segment includes equipment and services supporting the mining, quarry & aggregates, and heavy construction industries. In addition, RI develops and sells technology products and services to provide customers with fleet management systems, equipment management analytics and autonomous machine capabilities. Caterpillar's Resource Industries Sales, Services and Technology division (RISST) is seeking a financial leader to partner with the business and drive profitable growth. This Senior Pricing Manager role is an exciting opportunity to lead the Resource Industries segment machine pricing process, including strategy and execution. This role reports to the RISST Division CFO and serves as a strategic partner for senior leadership across the RI Commercial and Machine Product Group organizations.
What You Will Do:
Be a strategic thought partner with RISST senior leadership to support profitable growth through machine pricing operations and strategy. Drive effective coordination and strong collaboration across RI Commercial, Machine Product Group and finance organizations for pricing decisions Lead RI segment machine pricing reporting, forecasting & analysis processes Manage pricing procedures and compliance while ensuring timely responses Implement new tools and processes to drive continuous improvement including reporting, analysis and advanced insights Build, lead and develop a high performing team of pricing professionals to execute machine pricing and sales variance processes
What You Have:
Leadership:
Knowledge of leadership practices and processes; ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving challenging objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future state of things and how to get there.
Effective Communication:
(Extensive Experience) Communicates effectively with senior leadership, with ability to distill complex topics down to easy-to-understand messaging
Customer Focus:
Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions
Decision Making and Critical Thinking:
Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Data Gathering & Analysis:
Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.
Value Selling:
Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology and services; ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs
Managing Multiple Priorities:
Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation What Will Set You Apart Demonstrated ability to lead and influence machine pricing strategy and execution in a complex, matrixed organization. Strong strategic and analytical capability, with a track record of developing clear business insights from complex financial and commercial data. Proven people-leadership experience, including building, developing, and sustaining high‑performing teams. Ability to partner effectively with senior leaders across commercial, product, and finance organizations to drive alignment and results. Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to distill complex topics into clear, decision‑ready recommendations. Experience driving process improvement, governance, and continuous improvement through tools, analytics, and disciplined execution.
Additional Information:
The preferred location for this position is
Peoria, IL or Tucson, AZ Travel:
Up to 20% travel Relocation assistance will be provided to those who qualify Sponsorship is not available
Summary Pay Range:
$172,630.00 - $258,950.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
