Job Description:
Hampel Oil Distributors, Inc. is a family-owned and operated wholesale marketer and distributor of finished petroleum products that was started in 1976 by Al Hampel. Now with 21 locations in 7 states Hampel Oil continues to grow with the times. The Pricing & Inventory Manager provides primary support to the sales team in providing quotes for opportunities that they are pursuing or business they are protecting. This position is responsible for analyzing and completing TM price requests/quotes that will allow our sales team to win new business while also maintaining a healthy gross margin, as well as being capable of placing orders with our suppliers when needed. This position will report to the Director of Pricing & Inventory. This position will be based in Wichita, KS at our Corporate office. We require you will live near Wichita if hired.
Here are the details:
Average pay: $85,000 - $100,000 per year plus incentive bonus Work a typical schedule of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Generous Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance 401K with Company Match FSA account available

Develop and prepare customer pricing and sales quotes that balance competitiveness with healthy gross margin Analyze product cost, freight, and margin to build pricing that helps our sales team win new business while increasing company profitability Benchmark Hampel Oil pricing against competitor and vendor reference pricing to identify opportunities and risks Analyze customer-specific price history and margin trends to support quotes, contract renewals, and pricing recommendations to leadership Set up and maintain accurate customer pricing in SAP to ensure correct initial invoicing Maintain pricing and product master data in SAP across Hampel Oil locations Provide occasional backup support for product ordering and purchase order management
Job Requirements:
What We Are Looking For:
Ability to follow all Federal, State, and Company rules and regulations Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and telephone communication skills Ability to keep confidential and proprietary information in confidence Working computer skills including Microsoft Office packages (Word & Excel) and knowledge of Accounting data entry packages (SAP)
Requirements:
5-8 years of pricing, margin analysis, quoting, or commercial/finance analytics experience Direct experience with sales teams and suppliers Strong understanding of product cost, freight, and profit margin and how they drive customer pricing decisions Great customer service attitude to support co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis); strong overall Microsoft Office proficiency Good organizational, detail oriented, and time management skills
Additional Desired Qualifications:
Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems 1-3 years supervisory experience Experience in petroleum, lubricants, fuels, or related distribution industries Familiarity with index-based or market-reference pricing Bachelor's Degree or equivalent from four-year college with 3-5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Candidates will be subject to a background check and drug screen, in accordance with applicable laws.
