Full-time/Permanent Employee Location:
The ideal candidate will be local to the Patuxent River, MD or Washington, DC/National Capital Region area. As a Pricing Analyst, you will serve as an emerging authority in pricing and cost analysis, applying extensive technical expertise to complex pricing challenges. You will be responsible for determining and analyzing material, labor, and overhead costs related to contractual efforts, ensuring accurate and strategic cost estimates. With considerable latitude, you will develop innovative pricing solutions, create cost models, and provide strategic pricing guidance to proposal and capture teams. Your ability to independently determine objectives and approaches will be critical in facilitating pricing reviews and presenting cost findings to management and external stakeholders. You will remain well-versed in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and various contract types, including Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus, IDIQ, and Time and Materials (T&M). This role requires strong analytical skills and leadership capabilities to drive pricing strategies that align with business objectives and compliance requirements.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Determine material, labor, and overhead costs related to contractual efforts
- Estimate labor and material costs using RFP data submitted by prospective customers
- Analyze specifications and calculate production costs using labor and material pricing schedules and historical data
- Develop, write, and maintain compliant Cost Volume narratives that clearly communicate pricing methodology, assumptions, and Basis of Estimate (BOE).
- Develop detailed BOEs for labor, materials, travel, subcontractors, and ODCs that withstand customer and audit scrutiny.
- Ensure consistency between Technical, Management, and Cost Volumes throughout proposal development.
- Collect cost data from functional representatives, subcontractors, and vendors
- Compute cost estimates for raw materials, subcontracted work, and labor
- Prepare and maintain historical cost data for future use in pricing strategies
- Create cost models for cost-estimating elements
- Prepare cost reports and present findings to management, contract personnel, proposal analysts, customer representatives, price auditors, vendors, and subcontractors
- Facilitate pricing reviews and provide pricing guidance to proposal and capture teams to ensure compliance with disclosure statements
- Stay up to date on FAR, CAS, and various contract types, including Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus, IDIQ, and T&M, while working with a diverse range of federal and DoD customers
- Develop technical solutions to complex pricing problems, exercising significant judgment in determining objectives and approaches
- Provide technical support to operational strategies aligned within your program and initiatives that optimize processes, enhance productivity, and ensure quality across all program functions

- Participate in growth efforts as requested
- Ensure all contractual deliverables are met or exceeded to the customer's satisfaction
- Complete personal PDP and attend Staff Meeting and Storytime (with camera on)
- Execute all contract requirements as assigned in accordance with the contract-specific LCAT and requirements
- Support Price-to-Win (PTW), competitive assessments, fee strategy, and profitability analyses.
- Facilitate executive pricing reviews and provide pricing guidance to proposal, capture, and business development teams.
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with 8 - 12 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 6-10 years of experience- Extensive experience in cost estimation, pricing strategy, and financial modeling for complex contracts
- Ability to develop technical solutions to complex pricing challenges with minimal supervision
- Strong knowledge of government contracts, including FAR, CAS, and various contract types
- Proven ability to provide strategic pricing guidance and facilitate pricing reviews with leadership and stakeholders
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities $105,000 - $160,000 a year There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
