The Team You'll Join The Director, Pricing will join a highly collaborative and growing team responsible for driving disciplined, scalable pricing across customer deals. The team sets portfolio pricing strategy and governance, partners with Sales, Relationship, Finance, Legal, and Product to improve win rate while ensuring pricing decisions meet strategic objectives. How You ' ll Contribute Collaborates with Sales, Marketing, and other teams to establish competitive pricing strategies that support revenue growth and market expansion. Develops product and client focused analysis to support pricing models, guidelines, and deal structures. Supports complex proposals and leverages competitive and market intelligence to inform bid strategy and commercial decision making.
- Works on longer lifecycle deal development for large and complex opportunities.
- Works with Sales teams to help craft and implement complex proposal structures.
- Analyzes proposal economics and works with product / business stakeholders to influence structuring from a pricing / revenue optimization standpoint.
- Leads complex analyses of historical pricing patterns and outcomes.
- Measures, verifies, reports and mitigates risks arising out of new and/or proposal structures.
- Drives analysis of competitive and market factors relevant to product pricing and positioning, defining and recommending strategically focused improvement opportunities.
- Creates strategic pricing plans and processes to improve business-specific revenue, margin or share goals.
- Develops business cases to understand the impact of multiple and diverse strategic pricing recommendations
- Oversees Deal Desk operations, including governance, approval workflows, pricing guardrails and execution standards to support consistent and compliant revenue outcomes.
- Partners with Product, Sales, and GTM teams to set and implement pricing strategy.
- Uses insights (win/loss, discounting, competitive pressures) to recommend pricing actions.
- Develops and maintains reporting, dashboards, and key performance indicators that provide visibility into pricing effectiveness, discounting trends, renewal performance, and overall price realization. What You ' ll Need to Bring
- Candidates should demonstrate the relevant experience, skills, and capabilities needed to successfully perform in the role. Relevant experience may be gained through current responsibilities, prior roles, project work, leadership opportunities, or other comparable experiences.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, or a related field required, advanced degree (MBA) is a plus.
- Experience building and improving pricing governance (e.g., approval frameworks, escalation paths, controls, and documentation standards).
- Strong business judgment and executive communication skills; able to synthesize complex deal tradeoffs into clear recommendations and influence outcomes.
- Advanced Excel skills required; experience with Power BI (or similar) is a plus. Nice-to-Haves
- SaaS, fintech, wealth management, or enterprise technology experience.
- CPQ implementation experience.
- Built pricing dashboards/metrics (discount waterfall, renewal uplift) and turned insights into action.
- Supported renewals/retention motions (discount governance, uplift strategy, pipeline hygiene).
