The Raytheon Estimating and Pricing (E&P) organization has an exciting opportunity to join a talented team supporting proposal and capture efforts for the Air and Space Defense Systems (ASDS) business unit. This position will be for a direct charging employee supporting programs located onsite in Tucson, AZ. The chosen candidate will be responsible for the preparation of various types of proposals for development, production and competitive contracts including modifications to existing contracts. In addition, the estimating organization supports gate reviews, government audits and negotiations with the customer. What You Will Do Lead development and understanding of significant proposals Collaborate with other functions to develop the estimates for all cost elements associated with proposed contracts Utilize estimating and pricing programs and tools Develop detailed Request for Estimates to kick off proposals Provide estimating support for the development of Basis of Estimates to include validating and analyzing actuals, ensuring consistency within task descriptions, and confirming estimating approach is sound Perform detailed and complex analysis of inputs Prepare and present complex Gate 4 charts for program/company leadership review Ensure compliance with FAR and internal requirements Interface with all levels of management to assess and formulate potential solutions leading to a thorough proposal submittal Train and support less experienced Estimators (basic FAR requirements, proposal process, etc.) Ability and willingness to gain special access clearance to work activities as appropriate. Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a Bachelor's and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years experience Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Onsite:
Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
