SolomonEdwards Position Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Pricing Analyst to join a leading professional services firm with offices across major U.S. markets. The Senior Pricing Analyst will serve as a key financial and analytical partner to the Pricing and Project Management teams, supporting profitability analysis, strategic pricing, matter budgeting, and client proposals. This is a 6+ month consulting engagement with longer-term potential. This is a hybrid position working on-site 3 days per week and remote 2 days per week. Candidates must reside within commuting distance of and work from one of the following locations: New York City, NY; Philadelphia, PA; or Washington, DC. Standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Essential Duties:
- Develop profitability models and templates for fee proposals using firm financial metrics.
- Analyze historical financial data to support strategic pricing and matter management decisions.
- Provide financial analysis for RFPs, RFIs, bids, client pitches, and pricing negotiations.
- Prepare accurate, timely financial analyses and recommendations for stakeholders across the firm.
- Manage sensitive, time-critical ad hoc requests and deliver clear, professionally formatted results.
- Support Pricing and Project Management initiatives, analyses, and special projects.
- Manage multiple priorities independently while exercising sound judgment and meeting competing deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- 4+ years of related financial analysis, pricing, or similar experience.
- Law firm experience preferred.
- Experience with accounting systems such as Aderant preferred but not required.
Skills and Job-Specific Competencies:
- Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong financial modeling, reporting, and analytical capabilities.
- SQL experience desired.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and exercise sound judgment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
- Ability to communicate financial analysis and recommendations professionally to various management levels.
