Based in Tyler, Texas, the company is a leading national producer of ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook chicken and beef products, including the #1 fajita products in the U.S. Soules Foods serves a broad customer base across retail, foodservice, and industrial channels and has experienced significant growth, reaching approximately $1 billion in annual revenue. Position Summary The Director of Commercial Finance plays a critical leadership role in driving profitable growth through pricing strategy, revenue growth management (RGM), and sales finance partnership. This individual will serve as the financial leader across pricing, trade investment, and customer profitability, acting as a key source of truth for pricing, trade and customer profitability analytics / insights that inform strategic decisions. The role integrates Revenue Growth Management (RGM) and Sales Finance responsibilities—leading pricing strategy and execution, trade spend optimization, customer planning, forecasting and in-year performance management—while partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to deliver against revenue, profit, and share objectives. Key Responsibilities Revenue Growth Management & Pricing Strategy- Lead the company's gross pricing agenda, supporting Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and long-range strategic planning.
- Develop pricing strategy and ensure effective execution at the customer and channel level
- Develop and execute a comprehensive, multi-year pricing strategy across brands, customers, and channels (Retail, Foodservice, Industrial).
- Provide pricing guidance and scenario analysis to support commercial decisions
- Lead Price-Pack Architecture (PPA) initiatives, including modeling, scenario analysis, and financial impact assessment.
- Provide pricing and cost guidance for all product propositions, including weight, cost structure, and margin expectations.
- Serve as the central authority for pricing analytics, ensuring alignment across Sales, Finance, and Marketing.
- Manage pricing exceptions and governance processes through appropriate review forums. Trade Spend & Customer Profitability
- Lead development and optimization of trade spending strategies across customers and channels.
- Drive execution of promotional calendars in partnership with Sales, ensuring alignment to financial targets and performance expectations.
- Analyze effectiveness and ROI of promotional investments, Trade Promotion Management events, and trade programs.
- Partner with Sales to build optimized promotional calendars, trade rates, and customer investment strategies.
- Identify opportunities to improve return on trade spend and close performance gaps. Sales Finance & Planning
- Lead weekly and monthly performance routines with Sales, including forecast reviews, risk/opportunity identification, and gap closure actions, including: o Period close and reporting o Forecasting and variance analysis o Accrual reviews and fund management o Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and strategic planning
- Oversee revenue forecasting, promotional tracking, and customer contract performance.
- Provide insights on net revenue, gross profit, and share performance versus plan.
- Support customer business planning, including Joint Business Reviews (JBRs) and growth initiatives by providing financial insights and recommendations.

- Deliver actionable insights on volume, pricing, margins, and trade investments.
- Identify performance gaps versus plan and develop actionable recommendations to close revenue and margin shortfalls.
- Maintain customer-level databases for pricing, costs, and trade spend.
- Produce regular reporting on profitability, pricing realization, and financial performance.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of pricing and trade execution. Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, develop, and mentor a team of finance professionals as the function scales
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Drive the revenue management learning agenda across the organization.
- Provide coaching, performance management, and career development for direct reports. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Cost Accounting to align on strategy and execution.
- Influence senior leadership through strong communication, analytics, and business insights.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and analytics partners as needed. Qualifications Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required
- MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 10+ years of progressive finance experience (or 5+ years with advanced degree)
- Experience in CPG, food manufacturing, or protein category strongly preferred
- Background in Revenue Growth Management, Pricing, Customer Finance, FP&A, or Commercial Finance
- Proven experience leading and developing finance teams Skills & Competencies
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Deep understanding of pricing strategy, trade spend, and customer profitability
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, including with senior executives
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
