Job Description

The CAMA Coordinator is to assist in the coordination, maintenance, and support of the Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal (CAMA) system by training staff, maintaining appraisal tables, and ensuring accurate assessment processes. Perform data reporting and analysis using SQL, support the development and maintenance of assessment programs and databases, and help implement business process automation and GIS initiatives. Serve as a technical liaison between the Assessor Division and internal and external stakeholders while conducting field inspections of vacant land, manufactured homes, residential properties, and agricultural properties.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
Three or more years of progressively responsible appraisal experience. Previous work experience using Vanguard appraisal and assessment software Current Minnesota Accredited Minnesota Assessor (AMA) designation or progress toward it.

8:00 a.m.•4:30 p.m., Monday•Friday. Work schedules (hours and days) and location are subject to change based on department needs.

$40.73•$48.17

E•Verify Participation Poster (Download PDF reader) Right to work Poster (Download PDF reader) The CAMA (Computer Aided Mass Appraisal) system Coordinator is responsible for assisting in managing the system that assigns market values to commercial and residential properties to support the CAMA Coordinator Senior. The CAMA Coordinator provides guidance to staff, identifies technologies to improve operations, responds to issues that affect the accuracy, validity and reliability of the CAMA system. The CAMA Coordinator requires well-rounded experience in mass appraisal methodology.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, Real Estate, or closely related field AND two (2) or more years of assessment/appraisal experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience to total six (6) or more years. Required license(s): CMA (Certified Minnesota Assessor) from the Minnesota State Board of Assessors. Required to obtain an AMA (Accredited Minnesota Assessor) license from the Minnesota State Board of Assessors within one (1) year. Must have own means of reliable transportation for business purposes. Individuals operating a motor vehicle for county business must possess a valid driver's license.

Assist and maintain building and land mass appraisal tables under the guidance of the CAMA Coordinator Senior. Conducts data reporting, querying and data manipulation using SQL or similar programs. Plan, design, coordinate and implement projects and office automation products and procedures for Assessor Division. (i.e.: expand the use of GIS within the Division). Assist in planning, coordinating, developing, and implementing business and appraisal process automation initiatives with staff. Serve as technical liaison between Assessor Division and both internal and external customers/clients. Assist in the development and maintenance of assessment related programs and databases. Perform physical field inspections of vacant land, manufactured homes, residential and agricultural classed property. Performs other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Duties are performed in an office and at property sites. Work at property sites involves standing, walking, bending, and climbing stairs as required to measure and appraise properties. Work at sites also requires travel and outdoor work in all season's weather including walking from property-to-property. Lifting requirement may include up to 20 pounds. Use of general office equipment may include, but is not limited to: daily use of personal and/or lap top computers, printer, phones, calculator, copy machine, digital camera, statistical software, and CAMA appraisal system. There may be exposure to weather conditions, asbestos, mold, animals, ice, uneven terrain, unclean buildings or other environmental hazards when assessing a property. The job may involve dealing with and calming individuals who are emotionally charged over the assessed value of their property. The CAMA Coordinator will be required to work off hours during peak times of the assessment cycle.
