Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Certified Appraiser to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will conduct precise property valuations, leveraging your expertise in real estate appraisal, financial analysis, and data collection. Your work will directly influence investment decisions, lending processes, and compliance with housing regulations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses strong quantitative research skills, and demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of financial concepts and construction processes. Duties Perform accurate and thorough appraisals of residential, commercial, and specialized properties using established methodologies and industry standards. Collect and analyze relevant data including property details, market trends, comparable sales, and geographic information system (GIS) data to support valuation accuracy. Prepare detailed financial reports and appraisal summaries that clearly communicate findings and support decision-making processes. Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) guidelines, and other relevant legal standards throughout all appraisal activities. Utilize financial software tools to input data, generate reports, and maintain organized records of appraisal activities. Collaborate with construction teams, lenders, government agencies, and clients to gather necessary information and clarify project requirements. Stay current on industry best practices, updates in tax laws, and changes in real estate valuation standards to ensure high-quality work. Skills Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis techniques, and construction processes relevant to property valuation. Proficiency in data collection methods including GIS technology and quantitative research approaches. Solid knowledge of real estate appraisal standards, fair housing regulations, LIHTC programs, and tax experience related to property valuation. Excellent math skills with the ability to interpret complex financial concepts accurately. Experience using financial software platforms for report writing and data management. Ability to analyze market trends and apply fair housing regulations effectively within appraisal practices. Effective communication skills for preparing comprehensive reports and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. $63,168.55 - $76,073.95 per year
