While our firm has an established multi-family practice, this position is focused primarily on commercial assignments and offers opportunities to work on a wide range of property types and valuation challenges throughout Florida. We are primarily seeking an experienced commercial appraiser; however, we will also consider motivated Certified General Appraisers looking to further expand their commercial experience, as well as the right trainee candidate interested in long-term growth within commercial real estate valuation. Applicants must be located within the Orlando metropolitan area. Meridian Appraisal Group, Inc. is a Metro Orlando-based real estate valuation firm providing appraisal and consulting services throughout Florida. Our practice includes office, retail, industrial, mixed-use, land, hospitality, special-purpose, and multi-family properties for a diverse client base including lenders, attorneys, investors, developers, and government agencies.. Benefits Access to 401(k) Health/Dental/Vision insurance Productivity Bonus Telecommuting is possible Requirements A four-year college degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience A minimum of one year of appraisal experience preferred State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser license preferred, will consider trainee licensed Thorough knowledge and understanding of appraisal theory and techniques related to commercial real estate Strong writing skills with the ability to communicate effectively Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information MAI designation or advanced candidate status is a plus, but not a requirement Computer Skills Intermediate working knowledge of Outlook, Excel, and Word Argus experience a plus Database experience a plus
