Immediate AvailabilityESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Understanding of state and Federal statutes and regulations relating to Third Party and Estate Recovery.
- Evaluate Medical claims paid by Medicaid and calculate value to be recovered.
- Investigate assets and document all case related.
- Produce monthly statistics and reports.
- Work with external stakeholders such as EOHHS state users on workflow and system questions.
- Collaborate with project manager and staff attorney to help with recommendations on legal actions or project workflow.
- Assists the team with day-to-day questions and provides guidance to CSRs.
- Communicate with attorneys, funeral homes, nursing homes, next of kins, etc. to set up case information and assist with processing cases.
- Perform additional duties and complete daily tasks as assigned to support business needs.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree
- Working knowledge of personal computers
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of Medicaid, insurance, or healthcare-related processes and regulations
- Background/experience with probate, property, or real estate
- Excellent analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment
- Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Paralegal Certificate or Legal Education
- Texas Medicaid Estate Recovery experience (MERP)
