Job Description

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Right of Way Technician to join our Transportation Group. As a Right of Way Technician, you will support right of way managers and acquisition agents throughout the property acquisition process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:

Reviewing deeds, plats, title reports, tax records, and property ownership informationPreparing offer packages, agreements, easements, letters, and other acquisition documentsMaintaining parcel files, project trackers, contact records, and status reportsCoordinating mailings, document execution, notarization, and recordingCommunicating professionally with property owners, attorneys, lenders, government clients, and project team membersAssisting with property research, compensation calculations, and quality-control reviewsHelping ensure project documents are accurate, complete, and delivered on scheduleOccasionally visiting project sites, courthouses, or local government officesSkills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:

Ideal candidates will have at least one year prior experience in real estate, paralegal studies, business, public administration, planning, surveying, engineering or a related field is preferred but not requiredStrong organizational skills and attention to detailClear written and verbal communicationProfessional judgment and respect for confidential informationAbility to manage multiple assignments and deadlinesComfort working with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe AcrobatWillingness to learn about real estate documents, right of way acquisition, easements, appraisals, title matters, and eminent domain proceduresAbility to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Compensation:
 Our best estimate of the salary range for this position is $50,000-$65,000. Offers are based on a range of job-related factors such as internal equity, experience, skills, education, credentials and role complexity. Information on our comprehensive benefits package be found here.
