Job Description

Over the years, Shield HealthCare has expanded nationally with current service locations in California, Colorado, Illinois, Ohio, Texas and Washington. Shield HealthCare is looking for a 6-Month Regulatory Affairs Intern in Valencia, CA responsible for assisting with acquiring and maintaining state facilities and individual registrations, documenting and tracking Federal and State regulations to ensure adherence to the organizations' ongoing compliance. This role will also support alignment with the parent organizations regulatory compliance program. This position is on-site in Valencia, CA.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Process annual facility and individual license renewals Register new employees for CAMP certification Obtain new CA individual HMDR permits Research/create/maintain Pharmacy Regulations Tracking Report Conduct research, compile data and create and/or maintain reports Assist documenting supplier qualification process Prepare manufacturer product recall documentation files Partners with internal departments and the parent organization to support regulatory compliance programs
QUALIFICATIONS
Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in business administration, regulatory affairs, legal studies, health policy, healthcare administration, or a related field Previous experience in a regulatory role is a plus but not required Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, Teams) Good analytical, planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills Good written and verbal communication, with the ability to present and communicate to leadership Good organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to changing business needs
